The Society of Professional Journalists is dedicated to the perpetuation of a free press as the cornerstone of our nation and our liberty.
Maryland Pro Chapter is dedicated to promoting the work of journalists throughout the state, including print, broadcast, online, public relations and freelance. We're there to help Maryland Pro journalists in any capacity that might be necessary. We offer support, legal representation if necessary, networking, job information, legislative roundup, a voice in Annapolis on First Amendment issues and other journalistic issues, and other opportunities to help our members.
We want to help you, too! You can attend one of our events and learn about the organization that has been helping journalists since 1909. We're here for the college graduates up to the retired journalist. We'll even be here for high school journalists. Feel free to scroll the site and contact us for more information.
SPJ has been an industry leader for more than 100 years, and some of its activities may surprise you. Click here for more information.
